Rules
Contest Entry Instructions:
- Contest opens for entries and voting on July 15, 2019 at 8:00 am.
- Contest closes for entries and voting on August 15, 2019 at 11:59:59 pm.
- The entry fee is $5. Your entry fee allows you to submit up to 5 photos or 5 votes.
- Each human may submit as many photos or votes as he or she wishes at a cost of 1 dollar per photo or vote after the entry fee.
- Your entry must include the following information:
- Name of pet(s) in photo
- Place photo was taken
- Human's name
- Human's address
- Human's email address
- Human's telephone number
- Photo meeting the requirements listed below
Photo Requirements:
- Photo must be of an Old English Sheepdog (s)
- It is not required that your pet be adopted from New England Old English Sheepdog Rescue.
- Photos of sheepdogs can be in memoriam.
- Photo may contain more than one pet.
- Your photo may include other domestic animals (horses, small mammals, birds, etc.), but there must be an Old English Sheepdog in the photo.
- Contestants can only win one of the top three prizes.
- Photos can contain humans.
- Photos must be landscape/horizontal. Vertical or square photos will not be accepted.
- Photos must be high resolution (minimum of 5 megapixels/300dpi), clear and in-focus, and have no pixilation. Photos that are blurry, photoshopped, have low resolution, or feature pets with red or glowing eyes will not be accepted.
- Please be sure that your photo depicts a safe and appropriate environment for your pet. If your photo contains questionable content, it will not be accepted.
- Submitted photos become property of the New England Old English Sheepdog Rescue. NEOESR may crop or resize photo, and may use the photo for print and/or marketing purposes.
- NEOESR reserves the right to decline use of any photo deemed unacceptable.
- Have fun with it, and don't be afraid to get creative!
Voting Instructions:
- Contest opens for votes on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 8:00 am.
- Contest closes for votes on Thursday, August 15 2019 at 12:59:59 pm.
- Votes are $1 each. (A $5 minimum donation is requested which entitles you to 5 votes.)
- You can vote as often as you would like, or you can pay one lump sum and cast multiple votes at once. (For instance, if you donate $20, that will equate to 20 votes).
- If you enter your own pet into the contest, you are more than welcome — and encouraged — to vote for them as many times as you want. You may encourage others to enter their pets as well.
- The contestants who cast the most votes for each week of the photo contest will be awarded a $25 gift certificate to SheepieStuff. Winners will pay shipping costs on merchandise.
- There will be a grand prize winner (25th Anniversary OES of NEOESR) who be featured on the cover of our annual calendar and afforded a 16 x 20 hand painted portrait of the winning photo by talented artist Jill Stockford of Bandon, OR. Winner will pay shipping costs. Second place photo winner will receive a $100 gift certificate to SheepieStuff and third place photo contest winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to SheepieStuff. Winners will pay shipping costs on merchandise. Both second and third place winners will also be included in the NEOESR annual calendar. All winners will receive a complimentary copy of the NEOESR annual calendar.
- This contest IS NOT limited to US residents. International photo submissions are encouraged and welcome.
- All proceeds from this contest will benefit the NEOESR 25th Year Anniversary Celebration.
