Your Pet's Story or Bio
Opal was our Turkish Queen. She came to us with the last mass group from Turkey into Ohara. The intent was for her to stay for a short time while details were sorted out, but when she reached Michigan, she decided Michigan was home. She was the first and only dog Poppy let sleep on the human bed on her first night. Therefore, there was no question she was home.

Her injured leg/foot healed so she enjoyed hiking the sand dunes, xcountry skiing, and hunting voles. She welcomed 2 human grandbabies into the family and taught the canine pack how to nurture and play with the new kitties. She was the best lap dog and car errand dog.

Inside the house Opal was quiet and demur. Outside she radiated energy and a joy for life. Opal’s smile was ever present.
