Dog's Story
Scarlett was saved by NELR hours before she was to be euthanized at a high kill shelter in Texas. Her mom had just started volunteering with NELR at the time and was an approved adopter looking at another pup at the rescue. When Scarlett's original foster wasn't able to make it to collect her at transport, her future mom went and picked her up. Scarlett was pretty much an immediate foster fail. She had mange when she was rescued so her skin was a deterrent to potential adopters, but now she is healthy with a lovely coat.
