Charlie’s Story
Charlie has come such a long way over the past few years. When he was first rescued by Cookies Canine Animal Rescue in Alabama, he was very ill and emaciated. Thanks to their care — and the support of New England Lab Rescue (NELR) — he slowly began to heal and trust again.

In March 2023, we were incredibly lucky to be chosen as Charlie’s forever family. We had just lost our beloved Sadie and were carrying heavy hearts. Charlie came into our lives right when we needed him most, and he’s brought us so much joy since that day. Watching his confidence blossom has been a beautiful gift.

Today, Charlie is thriving — playful, affectionate, and inseparable from his brother, Nomar. He’s a truly special boy, and we’re so grateful to love him.
