Misfit Mutts Dog Rescue is a completely foster and volunteer run nonprofit organization based out of Green Bay, WI. We rely on our relationship with our community to fuel our mission of alleviating overcrowded animal shelters in the southern regions of our country. We believe pet overpopulation down south, affects our country as a whole. We see it as our duty to spread awareness and help educate the public about animal welfare, with the dream of one day ending the companion animal epidemic we currently face.

MMDR is an all-breed and all age, foster based dog rescue. This means every dog we save goes directly into a foster home while it searches for its happy ending. We focus on properly introducing neglected or unwanted pets into society and giving them the chance to be a loved and respectable family member. “Once a misfit, always a misfit” is our lifelong guarantee to any dog we adopt out, meaning they always have a home with us if misfortune were to strike.

It started as a wild idea between Nathan Sharpless and Lance Goodman: the dream of starting a brewery in their hometown.  At one point, they had moved away from Neenah to other cities and other states.  Yet even away from home, the idea continued to grow.  Piece by piece, and with the help of some hometown friends.  The brewery continued to come together.  In August of 2018, Barrel 41 Brewing Company began renovation on its space in Neenah, where it currently resides.

As the brewery came to life, the inevitable question of the brewery's name continued to surface.  On an evening of perfecting recipes in the basement of our brewmaster, Nathan Sharpless, the answer finally became clear: Barrel 41.  An allusion to Highway 41, the highway that runs through the heart of Neenah, the route that brought us home.  An embodiment of an interstate system that we all find ourselves on, on our way home.

Oshkosh Mid-Morning Kiwanis is a thriving organization of men and women dedicated to serving the children and young people of Oshkosh through iPads for Autism, educational grants, student wellness programs, and other great initiatives. As part of Kiwanis International, the group also supports children throughout the nation and the world. The Oshkosh Mid-Morning Kiwanis Foundation financially supports club activities and is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charity.
