Answer the age old question: Who's a good dog? Who is Northeast Wisconsin's Top Dog?! Show your support for your favorite canine companion and your favorite shelter/rescue by voting and encouraging others to vote as well. The shelter with the most votes will receive an additional $5000! One more time…. How cool is that?!

It's easy to participate!
This fun-filled contest benefits pets and children in Northeast Wisconsin.
Dog owners will pay
$10 to enter their pup into their favorite shelter's photo contest.
After registration, contestants will encourage their friends and family to vote for their canine companion
(votes are just $1 each).
It's anyone's game! After two weeks of voting, the contest will come to an end, and the top vote-earning dog will be crowned the NEW Top Dog for 2024. The top 10 dogs from each of the six contests will win some really cool prizes and the top 5 shelters with the most total votes among all their dogs will an additional cash prize to support their efforts.
Why enter?
Aside from bragging rights, there are a number of reasons to enter this contest!
- YOUR DOG ON A BEER: The winning dog from each of the six local contests will become the face of their very own beer! They'll even get to participate in the naming and brewing process! In each of the six contests, the 2nd-10th place dogs will also have their photos featured on the beer can or bottle.
- PRIZES: The top 10 dogs from each of the contests will win a variety of prize packages (see each prize page for more details).
- SHELTER BONUS: At the end of the contest the shelter or rescue with the most votes across all dogs representing their shelter will win a $5,000 cash prize! The second highest will receive $2500. The third will receive $1000. This is in addition to the funds they receive from the contest entries and voting.
- PETS AND KIDS: Proceeds from this contest will benefit the participating shelters/rescues and Kiwanis.

- September 27: Contest registration and voting begins!
- October 26th: Registration ends, voting ends and the winners are crowned!

Misfit Mutts Dog Rescue is a completely foster and volunteer run nonprofit organization based out of Green Bay, WI. We rely on our relationship with our community to fuel our mission of alleviating overcrowded animal shelters in the southern regions of our country. We believe pet overpopulation down south, affects our country as a whole. We see it as our duty to spread awareness and help educate the public about animal welfare, with the dream of one day ending the companion animal epidemic we currently face.
MMDR is an all-breed and all age, foster based dog rescue. This means every dog we save goes directly into a foster home while it searches for its happy ending. We focus on properly introducing neglected or unwanted pets into society and giving them the chance to be a loved and respectable family member. “Once a misfit, always a misfit” is our lifelong guarantee to any dog we adopt out, meaning they always have a home with us if misfortune were to strike.
