Spider
Pet's Story
I once roamed the streets of Nashville before landing at Metro Animal Care and Control (MACC) in March 2025. I quickly got adopted (I mean, why wouldn't you want a best dressed cat like me?), but my tummy troubles were too much for my first human. So back to MACC I went. Fear not, my return was short-lived. My forever hooman saw past the mess and took me home. Two months of daily diarrhea cleanups and floor moppings later, she fixed my stomach issues and gave me a second chance! I still feel bad for my hooman, so sometimes I leave her artwork on her arms and legs to say thanks. She kept my shelter name, Spider, because like any true spider, I climb everything, lurk in unexpected places, and leave behind a web of tiny scratches when I play. No matter what, I know I'm home wherever she is.

Pet's Quirks
Sweet and sour like a Sour Patch Kid, Spider will affectionately greet you at the door yelling "mama," and then when you put your guard down, launches a surprise attack on your legs demanding attention. This tuxie supervises every bathroom trip, ushers you to his food bowl every morning after a stare down from the nightstand, and serves you his favorite pizza toy as soon as you crawl into bed. He fears thunder and rain, but loves sitting in a warm shower tub after his human. He despises Teams and Zoom calls and makes sure to sabotage every single one by making his presence known. He naps face-down and chirps excitedly at birds, bunnies, and squirrels outside the window.
