Some matches are just meant to be—and Murphy is living proof. Back in 2019, Brent was casually fostering for the Nashville Humane Association when he stopped by the shelter one day, just to look. No plans, no pressure… until he met a kitten named Mark. One head tilt, one slow blink, and that was it. Brent left the shelter that day, but couldn’t shake the feeling he’d just met someone special. Less than 2 hours later, he was back—and Murphy (formerly Mark) was headed home for good.

Murphy has fully embraced his role as the household's resident chill expert and low-key social butterfly. Sweet, affectionate, and as cool as a cucumber, he loves to bask in sunny spots, keep a watchful eye on backyard bunnies, and deliver a perfectly-timed meow when it’s time for his favorite wet food. He’s the kind of cat who makes friends easily, settles in quickly, and somehow always finds the softest place in the room.
