Pet's Story
Maggie was first fostered by NHA friends in summer 2022, later adopted by NHA volunteers. Coincidentally, the fosters and volunteers were roommates at one point. When James first met Maggie, he knew she was the part of his soul he was missing, and convinced his wife to meet her. She quickly fell in love with her too, and the rest is history.

Maggie is as sweet and goofy as they come. Her spirit shines through every interaction she has, and her loving energy gives her the ability to adapt to friends, but not without a kiss or two first. She loves going to dog parks, breweries, watering holes, and every adventure she’s invited to.

She loves the water most of all. In her short life, she’s swam across Tennessee waterfalls, and swam from the salty waters of Gulf Shores, to the freshwater shores of the Great Lakes.

Pet's Quirks
Maggie loves to greet every visitor with a kiss. If she can get away with it, she’ll jump to your face to do it. She loves a good game of fetch, or “keep away”, where she charges at you with a stick then last minute dashes away. When she’s chilling, she loves to let out a large moan, telling her parents she’s not planning on leaving her spot on the couch for a while.
