Pet's Story
We learned of Kyle from our vet tech last summer, when he arrived there emaciated and underwent surgery. When we heard that he'd been discarded on the streets, ended up in a shelter, was taken in by a rescue org, and went through 2 surgeries, we immediately knew in our hearts he had to be part of our family. We named him Kyle after a dear family friend, and he has grown into the sweetest (sometimes mischievous!) pup. He loves to play with his toys, gives lots of kisses, and although he is now 58 lbs, he's a lap dog. He can be reactive around strangers, yet he's learning to trust and knows that we always advocate for him. He's the most special guy, who melts our hearts with his giant grin and his resilience. We'll forever be grateful to share a soul-soothing bond with our favorite guy, Kyle.

Pet's Quirks
We live in a condo downtown. Each day we take walks to the park. Kyle was initially terrified of the elvator, yet has gained confidence. Every time we return from a walk, he is elated we are back home. He gets the zoomies, runs around the den in circles four times, and then flips on his back for belly rubs. While he looks fearless, he doesn't like to walk on floor tiles (wood is fine!). He loves his slightly deflated soccer ball, which he insists we throw down the hallway several times daily. He wildly chases after it - jumping and diving to get the ball and regularly face-planting into the wall, which is no deterrent to him. He loves to nap and always has that large tongue hanging out of his mouth. He has, what feels to be, staring contests with us, and he rarely ever blinks!
