Pet's Story
When Joan came to Nashville Humane in December, it was clear life hadn't been kind to her. She needed months of medical care to recover from years of neglect, but through it all, she never lost her sweet spirit. Today, Joan is goofy, happy, and full of life. She loves belly rubs, car rides, sleeping with her favorite blankie, and spending time with her people. She gets excited to see our staff and volunteers every day, and her happy-go-lucky personality has a way of making everyone smile. Whether she's exploring the yard or soaking up affection, Joan chooses joy in everything she does.

If you're looking for a dog who will remind you to appreciate the little things, Joan is ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and slobbery kisses.

Pet's Quirks
-She has a permanent head tilt that makes it look like she is always judging you (let’s be real..she is)
-She doesn’t bark she “borks”
-She is one of the only dogs that enjoys going to the vet (because it means extra cuddles and snacks)
-She enjoys wearing pajamas, especially her piggy pjs
-She knows what she likes, and that includes silk sheets (obviously)
-Walking by her kennel without a gift? think again. Joan will stare at you and give her best "bork" as her way to demand a toy tax
