Since 1946, Nashville Humane Association has dedicated its efforts to aiding sick, homeless, and at-risk shelter pets in Nashville, throughout Middle Tennessee, and across the globe.
Voted “Nashville’s Favorite Place to Adopt” year-over-year, we pride ourselves on our 98% save rate and making thousands of new families each year, all while focusing our mission on assisting pets and pet people throughout our community.
From continuing to grow our community support programs to special medical cases, thousands of adoptions, and supporting natural disaster relief, there simply isn’t a “quiet” day when it comes to animal welfare. Our goal at Nashville Humane is to help as many pets and serve as many pet-loving people and pet-owning families as possible. Our pets are our families, and we work hard every day to preserve that bond.
Nashville Humane is here to serve our community, and as an entirely gift-based not-for-profit, it's our community of friends and supporters that allows us to perform our life-saving work every day. That's not a responsibility we take lightly. We’re here to make you proud.
