Marilyn Sinatra of Own NY Real Estate first came to Niagara County SPCA to sponsor one cage, but what she didn’t realize at the time was that she would fall head over heels in love with the shelter dogs and sponsor so many more!!!
Marilyn came to the shelter whenever she could to meet the shelter dogs and used her social media page to promote them. One of her clients even adopted a pit bull named Harrison who was having a hard time finding a forever home! Marilyn was so ecstatic when she received the news that he was adopted.
Marilyn also attended SPCA events anytime she could, but one very special thing she did to help sticks out the most.
Her name is Hope and she was a deaf pitty who was found in Niagara Falls all by herself. Marilyn saw a video of her on the shelter’s Facebook page and asked if she could sponsor her. Marilyn and her daughter came to the SPCA to meet her and it was love at first sight.
It only took a few days before Hope became a Sinatra. Marilyn knew having a puppy who was deaf would be a challenge but she couldn’t live without her. Now Hope lives in a beautiful home with a fenced-in yard (specifically put in for her) and can live her life happy and safe with a family who adores her.
That’s why Marilyn Sinatra should be named “Shelter Advocate of the Year.”
