Contest Rules

Winners are based on the top 12 individuals who receive the most votes. 

Winners must be available in early September to be photographed with one of our shelter animals. 

Applicants or those nominating a shelter animal advocate must include a photo of the individual with an animal in the nomination and share a story of why this person deserves to be named a Shelter Animal Advocate of the Year. 

Nominees can also be those who help rescue and shelter animals.
