Sue has been volunteering for the NCSPCA and other pet rescue organizations for many years She fosters and adopts senior dogs who would otherwise spend their final days not knowing the love of a human touch. She is also the mom of that international star of both TV and the internet, Honey the beagle! Honey was surrendered because she was grossly overweight. Her elderly owner was suffering memory problems and couldn't remember when she had fed her so she was fed over and over. Sue fostered Honey and started her on a strict diet and exercise regiment. She also enrolled her in a hydro-therapy program to get her moving again. To say that Honey's turn around was dramatic is an understatement and Honey went from being a foster pup to being adopted! She is now a shadow of her former self and spends her days playing with the other senior pets Sue has adopted. Honey made her TV debut on a local morning news show and from there the word of her dramatic transformation got out. Sue and Honey were shown on TV shows as far away as Australia and she became an internet star! All the notoriety hasn't gone to her head though, she is still the trouble maker of the household and the queen of the ball. Sue is constantly making crafts to donate for auctions benefiting pet causes and giving any spare time she has to help animals in need.
