My NICU Graduate's Journey
Born at 2 pounds 5 ounces, Briggs defied the odds and overcame every obstacle he was faced with. Shortly after his birth, he was bleeding internally in his belly. After a blood transfusion, Briggs stopped bleeding and got stronger. The doctors couldn’t explain the reason it stopped, but to take it as a miracle. Briggs continued to get stronger, develop, and grow. Once Briggs learned to eat on his own, he was able to break out of the NICU just in time for Christmas. After 42 days in the NICU, our miracle boy, Briggs finally came home!

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
No matter what, Briggs has defied the odds. He is so strong, works so hard to overcome obstacles, learn new skills, and continues to meet his milestones. At 2 pounds or 12 pounds, Briggs has always had a personality that lights up a room. His smile is contagious and you would never know he was born over 2 months early.
