My NICU Graduate's Journey
My first son decided to make his entry into this world 6 1/2 weeks early. He came out feet first in the hallway, just outside the OR I was being rushed to for an emergency c-section, 14 minutes after arriving at the hospital. He came out so fast his legs were completely purple and had to be checked for circulation issues until they realized it was bruising from such a quick arrival. He was still remembered as the hallway baby when his little brother was born 17 months later.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
He progressed amazingly in the NICU and had a relatively short stay. Now people are shocked when I tell them he was born as early as he was. He’s become an adorable little and big brother who loves all of his siblings.
