They don't make cats like this anymore. Jack is 15, and doesn't look a day over his mid cat teens. He's a lover and a fighter. He's top cat in the neighborhood, even keeping the dogs in check when necessary. He enjoys "playing" with small mammals and birdwatching (heheheheh!).What Jack doesn't like: baths, sweaters (He's developed a LOT of patience for Xmas sweaters, which he wears with a soft sigh and a long-suffering expression, but it's really not his fave thing.), Ma leaving on vacation, and other cats trying to horn in on his turf (He always nips THAT in the bud quickly and decisively.). Jack accepts treats and lots of cuddles, on his own terms, of course. You may pet his beautiful tawny coat and listen to his contented purr, which sounds a lot like someone's firing up an old Hoover. He LOVES naps in your arms; he very graciously offers his soft, stripedy tummy for rubbing, and when he's feeling particularly loving or hungry, he'll call "MA! MA!", but don't be fooled; Jack's no nancy pants mama's boy. He's a man's man, and if you forget that, he'll remind you, maybe with a swat, maybe with a gift of a small, dead rodent. Speaking of food (gulp!), if dinner is for some unfathomable reason late, you'd better be prepared for a good, loud scolding (rightfully deserved!) But he always forgives, and with a gentle sigh of resignation, will favor you with much headbutting, coupled with his more tender, baby-voiced version of "Ma." Jack is one of a kind, ask anyone on his block.
