Prince was adopted from Nine Lives in May of 2016 (he was known then as 'Panther'). He was rescued around the age of 2 months and brought to Nine Lives, where he was in the 'shy' kitty area. When I first met him, it was clear that he loved his friends in the pen, but was also a very social cat. I knew we were a match, and I adopted him that week. We went through some tough times with his health in those first 6 months, but he pulled through and has been happy and healthy ever since. He's a veritable 'dog-cat', and loves to go for walks every day. This photo was taken during one of our walks, along the water in Redwood City. He's convinced one of these days he'll catch a bird, but the leash keeps him safe and out of trouble. He's gotten quite a reputation around the complex, and everyone gets a kick out of the cat on a leash!
