Sidney was the second kitty I adopted from Nine Lives in 2008. A month prior I had fallen in love with Spence, but he was very sick so I first took him home to get him well. Once Spence was healthy I was right back to Nine Lives to find him a friend.

As I started to learn about some of the available kitties, Dr. Rudiger walked by and I told her we were there to find a buddy for Spence. Right away she said she knew just the right cat, and that was Sidney (known then as Spike). Boy, was she right.

Spence and Sidney were 6 months old and they quickly became fast friends. Sidney loved to play with wand toys, especially dragging them through the house. He also loved everyone he met, chatted all the time, "helped" me as often as possible especially to wrap presents, and could cuddle on my lap for hours. He even became friends with the little dog that joined the family a few years ago and they ate their breakfasts side by side.

Unfortunately Sidney died earlier this year after only being sick for a few days. His kitties, dog, and people miss him dearly. Dr. Rudiger was right. Sidney, who we really called "Little Guy", was just the right cat for all of us.
