From street Tom to adventure companion, sweet Arlo was rescued as a stray in Fresno and ended up at Nine Lives, where he was adopted by high school teacher, Maia. Arlo and Maia live on campus in the woods of Portola Valley, and Maia quickly discovered that this FIV+ boy was more than happy to don a harness in order to safely venture into his beloved outdoors. Arlo also enjoys lounging in his “catio,” being the little spoon, stealing bites of pastries, and watching birds, squirrels, turkeys, deer, and students from his many window perches!
