Pet's Story or Bio
I adopted Teejay late in June 2020. I had lost my beloved orange tabby Deejay at the age of 21 to cancer in fall of 2018. Like many, I found myself in 2020 at home a LOT. I browsed the SPCA site and decided it would be the perfect time to give a forever home to another handsome elderly orange tabby, 16-year-old Teejay, whose given name remarkably was nearly identical to my former friend. I took Deejay's old brush with me to meet him and as soon as he came up to me, let me pet his head and then rolled over on his back to let me brush his sheep-like belly, I knew he was the one. We quickly became best friends and from the time I got him home his two favorite places were the back of the sofa beside me (in MANY Zoom meetings) and on the floor, playing with his toys and rolling on his back to solicit belly-rubs and tummy-brushings. Teejay has recently been diagnosed with inoperable cancer, but we have had excellent vet care at Dog and Cat on 21st street and at the time of writing this bio he is still enjoying life. If you have seen A Dog's Journey, you will know what I mean when I say he is the Boss Cat!
