Rules

All entries and votes must be submitted by the deadlines listed below in order to be included in the final vote count.

• Entries may be submitted from July 26^th, 2021 at 5:00 PM EDT until October 26^th, 2021 at 11:59:59 PM EDT.
• Photos must be high resolution for printing purposes, at least 250 dpi or 1000 pixels x 1500 pixels is preferred. Photos should be horizontal (landscape) orientation and in .JPEG or PNG format. If you are taking photos with your phone, please be sure to capture your image at the highest possible setting in order to meet resolution criteria.
• We cannot accept Polaroids, photos with digital overlays, Instagram-style or similarly filtered/altered images, photo stickers or doodles, or any copyrighted photos.
• Photos of cats, dogs, horses, birds, and small animals are accepted; people are NOT allowed in photos. Your pet does NOT have to be adopted from the Norfolk SPCA, or any other shelter or rescue, to be eligible to enter the contest. More than one pet may be featured.
• Participants may only submit photos to which they have the rights to reproduce. Once entered, photos become the property of the Norfolk SPCA to be used for print and marketing purposes.
• Donations are non-refundable and fully tax-deductible as permitted by law. The Norfolk SPCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All voters will receive email receipts for their contributions.
• By participating in this contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Norfolk SPCA and each of their officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the contest or receipt or use of any prize.
• The contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

• The entry fee is $25 per photo, which includes a free copy of the Norfolk SPCA's 2022 calendar*. There is not a limit on the number of photos that an individual can enter. Submit as many as you like! *All local participants must pick up their calendars at the shelter.
• Photo submission and voting will be simultaneous, from July 26^th, 2021 at 5:00 PM EDT until October 26^th, 2021 at 11:59:59 PM EDT. All entries and voting must be completed by October 26^th, 2021 at 11:59:59 PM EDT.
• The same pet can be entered into the contest multiple times, but votes will not be combined across multiple entries of the same pet. Each photo earns votes separately.

This contest is open for anyone to vote. Each vote costs $1, and there is no limit to the number of votes one may cast for the duration of the contest. You may vote for your own photo. Online voting begins as soon as the photo is registered and ends October 26^th, 2021 at 11:59:59 PM EDT.

• Once a photo is submitted, it will appear on the Norfolk SPCA Pet Photo Calendar Contest website, and will be open for voting by the general public.
• We encourage you to email the contest link to family and friends and inspiring them to vote.
• ALL proceeds benefit the animals of the Norfolk SPCA.
