A little about me...Max was adopted from the Summit County Animal Control in January of 2019. Upon entering the animal shelter, we saw Max, formerly named "Goodluck," in the last cage of the isle. He was very timid and scared, hiding in the back corner of his cage hugging the wall, his tail in-between his legs, and the saddest facial expression. Once we had set our eyes on him, we knew we had to at least request to take him out of his cage and interact with him. Once we brought him out of the cage and into the play area, Max would not leave our side and immediately cuddled up on the bench with us. Normally shelter dogs will immediately go around and smell their surrounds with so many things going on. In that moment, Max was still warming up but we knew that he had picked us as his new family. Ever since adoption, Max has grown into the happiest, most loyal dog. He is an expert cuddler, enjoys hiking, loves to play with his basketball and numerous toys throughout the house, and occasionally gets the zoomies. He is inseparable with his older sister, Faith (age 16y/o cancer survivor!) and older brother, Hank (1.5y/o goof ball) who are both also rescues! I enjoy using Max to properly educate others on the bully breed as well as their mannerisms and proper care to break misconceived stigmas.
