Why is this photo special?
This is TJ "Decorated By Mito." The horse who started it all for me in Hunter Under Saddle. I lost him in 2023, but I think about him every single time I ride. Every time I throw a leg over a horse, I thank him — because I know everything I do in the arena, I'm making him proud.
His show record was the kind people remember—championships, consistent placings, he was DECORATED. So many people in the equestrian community knew him, loved him, and watched him work. He gave me my foundation. He was my best friend. I don't know if there will ever be a day I don't miss him. But I do know he's part of every ride, every show, every moment I have with a horse. My wish is that every youth gets to experience the love of a horse, like I was able to.
