- IF YOU LOVE IT, BOOP IT! But nose shots are optional! We just want to see your adorable boopable baby!
- You may enter as many bassets as you wish! And your basset's fur brother or sister may share the pic even if they are not bassets!
- Please only one picture per dog, and yes, you can have more than one basset in a picture! It is best to get all your bassets in one entry, so you only fundraise for a single entry!
- No people in the photos please and no photoshop or AI added to images!
- Contest is open to ALL bassets! You do not need to be from Ohio or have an OBHR dog to enter! All OBHR adoptees that are non-bassets are also encouraged to enter!
- Bassets who have passed to the Rainbow Bridge are also welcome to be included in our calendar!
- Entries will be accepted throughout the contest but remember to enter early so you can accumulate votes.
- Entry fee is $ 5 per picture.
- Each vote costs $1 with a $5 minimum purchase.
- Winners may be asked to submit a different picture at the discretion of the calendar printer due to image quality.
- The best quality pictures are not taken with a zoom, pictures using a zoom are not the best quality when enlarged for printing.
- The best published pictures are ones taken in landscape (horizontal) form. Winners will be asked to submit a horizontal photo.
- Please SHARE your entry with your family and friends to help us raise money to keep the basset piggy bank full so we can continue to help bassets in need!
13 Winners Will Be Featured In Our 2026 Calendar!
The top 13 winners will receive a free 2026 OBHR Calendar!
The first-place winning dog(s) will be on the cover of the 2026 calendar and will receive a $50 gift card from Chewy.
Second and third place winners will each receive a $25 gift card from Chewy.
The 12 runners up to the winner will be featured on the remaining months of the 2026 calendar!
Each year we try to feature all non-winning entries on the back of the calendar!
We try our best to give winners a choice of the available months by rank, however due to winning photo content we may need to use our discretion on assigning months to winners! Thank you for your understanding!
Remember if you are one of our top 13 winners we will need a LANDSCAPE picture to publish!
