Rules
  1. All qualifying submissions must be photographed in a landscape that is within the Buffalo Olmsted Park System. These landscapes include:
    1. Six parks: Cazenovia, Delaware, Front, Martin Luther King, Jr., Riverside, and South
    2. Seven parkways: Bidwell, Chapin, Lincoln
    3. Eight landscaped traffic circles: Agassiz, Colonial, Ferry, Gates, McClellan, McKinley, Soldiers, and Symphony
    4. Smaller spaces: Days, Heacock and Prospect
  2. All dogs MUST be leashed appropriately or photo will be automatically disqualified
  3. Please adhere to general rules and safety when photographing in public spaces
  4. Be kind - prank or rude photos will be automatically disqualified
  5. Get creative! We highly encourage visiting a less frequented park or showcasing an iconic landmark. The goal would be to include photos of pups in as many Olmsted landscapes as possible. By going to a less frequented park, the higher your chances of getting selected!
    1. For example: Bidwell Parkway is a popular destination, perhaps consider trying an Olmsted park in another neighborhood such as Cazenovia Park in South Buffalo or Riverside Park in Black Rock.
    2. Tip: Check out the photos that have been submitted to see which landscapes have not been represented!
  6. Final photo selections will be subjected to the selection committee’s discretion
    1. There will be a total of 12 winners (1 for each month)
    2. Winning photos will be judged based on number of votes, image quality, photo location, season of photo taken, and whether rules are followed as stated above
