What Is It?

The annual OESR Calendar Contest is our biggest fundraiser of the year! Donations from photo voting and calendar sales help save more Setters. All contributions go directly to necessary medical care for rescue dogs.

How Can You Help?

Enter your favorite photo of your English Setter or English Setter mix for FREE! Send your dog’s photo link to your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers and encourage them to vote for your dog to win one of 12 coveted spots in our 2026 Calendar. Votes are $1.00 each ($5.00 minimum) and are tax deductible donations to Our English Setter Rescue. Voting is open as soon as you submit your photo, beginning at 7:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

Who Wins?

First and foremost, the rescue dogs win! Every dollar raised goes directly to the dogs currently in OESR’s foster program. It also supports OESR’s medical fund and provides the ability for the organization to bring in new dogs that need a safe, secure, and loving spot to land.

The photo entry with the most votes will be featured on the cover of the 2026 Calendar AND as a “pet of the month”. The winner gets first dibs on the month of their choice.
The next 11 highest entries will be featured as a “pet of the month” in the 2026 Calendar.

Every pet has a special day. Reserve a day to celebrate your pet’s birthday, Gotcha Day, or to honor the special companion(s) in your life. Your pet’s photo will appear on the day of your choice. Reserve a date spots are available on a first come basis. Each day is $15. Once a date is reserved, it will no longer be available. Reserve early!

OESR Setter Calendars make PAWsome gifts! All proceeds benefit the rescue dogs. Pre-purchasing calendars will guarantee you receive your calendar before the end of 2025. You will be all set to begin the New Year with a beautiful calendar on January 1. Pre-sales also help us purchase the right number of calendars so we don’t waste valuable funds on extra stock. 4^th place through 11^th place photo entries will earn a “dog of the month” feature in the 2026 OESR Calendar. OESR reserves the right to assign placement based on the appropriateness of the photo. A summer themed photo will appear in a summer month and a winter themed photo will appear in a winter month.

Additional Prizes

Anyone donating a total of $75 through votes, reserving calendar dates, or purchasing 2026 calendars over the course of the contest will receive a free OESR logo magnet and sticker.
Anyone donating a minimum of $200 through votes, reserving calendar dates, or purchasing 2026 calendars will receive a free 2026 OESR Calendar and free OESR logo magnet and sticker
All entries receiving at least 10 votes will appear in a small, featured square in the 2026 OESR Calendar.

Contest begins 7:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, July 20, 2025 and ends at midnight (11:59:59 PM Eastern Time) on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

Entering a photo is FREE!
Take your best shot! Please limit your entry to one photo per family. Entries will be eligible for use in the OESR 2026 calendar.
Registration information shared by participants when creating an account to submit a photo entry will be kept strictly confidential by OESR.
Contestants must provide their name and email address so we may notify the winner.
The selection of the top 12 entries will be determined by electronic tabulations under the supervision of Gogo Photo Contest.
All entries and photographs may be used by Our English Setter Rescue (OESR) at their discretion for any and all purposes without compensation. By submitting an entry to the Contest, you are confirming that you are the sole owner of all information submitted to OESR.
We cannot accept Polaroid photos, computer generated images, or copyrighted professional photographs.
This contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
If, for any reason, OESR determines that the contest is not capable of continuing as planned, OESR reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest.
By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless OESR, fundraiser sponsors and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.

By submitting an entry, you agree to abide by the rules, terms and legal conditions (the "Rules").

Eligible Photographs

Photos may contain one or more pets, but at least one pet in the photo must be an English Setter or English Setter Mix.
OESR alumni are encouraged to enter, but entries are not required to be rescue dogs or OESR alums.
No people in the photos, please.
Photos must:
- Be .jpg or .png files
- Be in color
- Be clear, of good quality and high resolution
- PLEASE NOTE that if your submission is low resolution or poor quality, you will be asked for an alternate submission. The winning submission must be able to be printed at a size of 8.5” x 11” without significant loss of quality.
Photos are preferably horizontal (wider than they are tall). If you submit a portrait-oriented photo, it may be edited to accommodate calendar layout.
Any image that includes content deemed inappropriate, indecent, or obscene, as determined by the OESR Board of Directors, will be removed from the Calendar Photo Contest.
If your pet has been "Pet of the Month" in a prior OESR calendar and you earn a "Pet of the Month" spot in the current contest, you may not re-use the same image from past calendars. You may use whatever picture you like for the contest, but the image that is placed in the 2026 calendar must be different.

Voting For Entries

Voting is open to everyone.
You may vote for your own pet.
Votes are $1 each. There is a $5 donation minimum. You determine if you wish to place all votes on one entry or spread your votes to several of your favorites! Votes will be instantly converted to a vote bank, giving voters the option to vote NOW or LATER (using their banked votes). All votes must be applied to selected photos by the end of the voting period.
All votes are donations to OESR and are fully tax deductible and help support medical care for rescued dogs. The email acknowledgement of your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
