OESR is an all-volunteer run 501(c)(3) breed rescue focusing on English Setters. We have fosters, adopters, and volunteers throughout the USA.
We depend 100% on donations to operate our rescue. In 2022, people are turning to OESR to care for more dogs than ever. Some are found as strays, some owner surrenders, with others entering already overcrowded shelters. Our dedicated volunteers donate thousands of hours every year to give each dog in our care a new lease on life.
With help of our volunteers and donors, we have achieved much over the years, including:
- Rescued hundreds of English Setters, and other dogs in need, from desperate, often urgent situations
- Medical care that can include heartworm treatments, surgeries for injuries, preventatives, and even behavioral training
- Foster Forever care for dogs that will need continued care throughout their lives
- Spaying/neutering of all rescues
- Provide screening of all applicants prior to placing any dog in their home
- Transport adopted dogs to their forever home
- Spreading the word of the importance of dog rescue
