Rules

This contest is a fundraiser with funds being used to feed and vaccinate service animals and companion pets belonging to low-income pet owners enrolled in the Pets Are Loving Support (PALS) client program. The entry fee is $10 per photo and $1 per vote. Participants can enter as many photos of a pet as they want, but each photo has a separate entry fee. While you can choose to have multiple entries for your pet, that pet can only win in one judged category in addition to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place voting.
There is a limit of 3 pets PER pet owner.
Photos are to be of pets ONLY; people are not allowed in the photo. All animals must be depicted in a humane and dignified manner.
Photos of dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles and birds are accepted. Small mammals, reptiles, and birds will be considered under a category designated as “Other,” and not eligible to win any prize category.
Your pet does NOT have to live in the metro-Atlanta area.
Photos may not contain more than one pet
Photos must be high-resolution (300 dpi or greater).
Photos must only contain domestic pets (no people or wildlife)
Photos must be full-color and not heavily filtered, edited or altered
Photos deemed offensive, indecent or obscene will be removed from the contest
Categories of competition are Most Votes (First Place, Second Place, Third Place) Best Photo, Best Dressed, Caught in the Act (cats and dogs being mischievous). All winners will be used by PALS on social media and other marketing. Winners for Best Photo, Best Dressed, and Caught in the Act will be selected by a panel of judges.
PALS board members, staff, and volunteers will compete for the President’s Cup. The winners in that category will be determined by the number of votes.
Entry and voting period begins on August 15, 2023 through 1:00 PM October 10, 2023.. You may enter your pet at any time during the contest.
The winners of each category will be contacted by Tuesday, October 17, 2023. The pet and their owner/family will be invited to attend the Pawgeant Celebration on Sunday, October 22, 2023 in Decatur, GA. Winners do not have to attend in order to claim their title.
We cannot accept any copyrighted or professional photos.
All photos become the property of Pets Are Loving Support, Inc. and may be reproduced for marketing and promotion purposes.
Any prizes (to be determined, check the contest site) will be mailed to the address on file or arrangements will be made for pick up. There will be no cash prizes.
Pets Are Loving Support reserves the right to remove any pictures for any reason. Should this happen, we will notify you and refund your entry fee if desired.
