Welcome to the Paris Animal Welfare Society 2026 Calendar Contest!
We need your help now more than ever! We have stayed over capacity on dogs for over a year. For every dog that gets adopted, 5 more take its place. We originally had biweekly transports to northern shelters and rescues of 10-20 dogs at a time. Due to the large population of dogs in shelters across our nation, we’ve sent less than 20 dogs/puppies to rescue this year. With how the economy has been fluctuating this year, we have also seen a significant decrease in donations (food, supplies, monetary). Pets are staying 4-5 months at a time versus an average of 12 days. Please participate in our calendar, either by entering or voting, to help save a life!
You can enter as many photos as you would like (one photo per entry fee). You may also vote as many times as you would like – for whomever you choose! All proceeds will directly benefit PAWS pets! You can also pre-order your calendar at the same time as you enter – all on one website!
Let’s see those furry pets!
Prizes
- The winner with the most votes will be the 2026 Calendar Cover

About Us
The Paris Animal Welfare Society (P.A.W.S.) is a private 501(c)3 organization, established in 1992, which runs an animal shelter located in beautiful Paris, Kentucky. As a private organization, we are solely dependent on private donations and community support.
Our mission is to save and protect homeless animals through responsible adoptions, to provide humane care for all animals entrusted to us, to advocate for animal welfare, and to enhance the human-animal bond by promoting healthy relationships between pets and people in our community.
P.A.W.S. serves mainly Bourbon County, taking in stray animals and those relinquished by their owners. We are open admission, which means we will never turn away an animal in need regardless of age, health, or behavior issues. Despite being a small organization, we took in almost 2,000 animals last year.
