A little about me...
I was a street dog in Puerto Rico until I was 6 months old. They used to call me a pot cake dog or Sato. I was begging for food and very thin, scavenging for anything I could find. I was afraid of people because they would shew me away. But then the most wonderful thing happened , a woman from a rescue group picked me up and flew me to Los Angeles, and boy did my life change. When my mom first saw me, it was love at first sight. I was pretty shy and afraid at first, but she gradually earned my trust. She used to volunteer at PHS , so she knows how to work with shy girls like me. She even adopted my sister Shoki so I could gain more confidence. Now the three of us live together in Altadena. We go for lots of hikes in the mountains. It's a blast! When we're not walking in the neighborhood or hiking, we sunbath in the backyard. We have a beautiful fenced in backyard with coyote rollers to keep us safe. We had to live in a different place for a year after the fire, but now we're so happy to be back home. The three of us have so much fun together. Mom has taught me lots of tricks and tells me I'm really smart. She tells me I'm the best dog in the world when Shoki's not in the room. But I bet she tells Shoki the same thing.
