A little about me...
Hi! I'm Ernie the Chug!

I love cuddles, tummy rubs, and plushy toys!

I'm a rescue, and before I found my forever home, life was very different. The rescue shelter told my hooman that I wouldn't eat kibble because I'd only ever been fed fried chicken and sausage and was reactive because the other shelter dogs kept stealing my toys. In a lot of ways, I didn't even really know how to be a dog. In fact, my paws peeled after my first walks with my hooman because I'd never gone on proper walks before!

But all of that changed when I met my hooman. She showed me what it means to be part of a family and gave me the chance to just be a dog. Now I go on walkies, I eat all the kibbles, and I get all the pets! I have lots of family who spoil me with yummy treats and endless snuggles, and keep away is my favorite game now because I know that they'll always let me keep the toy at the end.

So if you ask me, my hooman is the one who rescued me.

But if you ask her, she'll tell you that I rescued her. Something about being her dog-shaped light in the dark.

I don't know much about any of that, and I'm not keeping score. All I know is that we're better together, and if it's all the same to you, I'd rather never be apart.
