The phrase “Second Chance” says it all.
Second Chance Rescue & Rehoming is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue dedicated to giving dogs and other animals a new opportunity at life, love, and a forever home. We work closely with our local shelter, Alachua County Animal Services, to rescue animals that were at risk of euthanasia and provide them with the care, compassion, and rehabilitation they need to thrive.
Founded in 2012, our small, volunteer-driven organization focuses on saving animals that may otherwise be overlooked — including those with medical needs, behavioral challenges, or limited adoption opportunities. Through fostering, veterinary care, training, and community support, we help each animal take the next step toward a safe and loving family.
Every donation, adoption, and volunteer hour helps us continue our mission: giving every animal the second chance they deserve.
