Rules

Qualifications & Rules:

All pets are welcome (does not have to be a cat or dog).
No photos that include humans will be accepted.
Your pet does not have to be a rescue/shelter pet to qualify, although it is preferred.
Multiple pets from the same household can be entered, but only 1 photo per pet. There can be multiple pets in one photo.
You do not have to be a local citizen to enter.
Copyrighted or professional photos will not be accepted and will be immediately disqualified.

Terms & Conditions:

Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the contest gallery and be open to voting by the general public.
Parke County Animal Welfare Services Inc (PAWS) reserves the right to decline publication of any photo for any reason. If we decline your photo, you will be notified and your donation, if made, will be refunded. We will not accept photos displaying profanity or animals clearly in distress.
All photos become the property of PAWS and each submitted photo can be used on PAWS' website, social media, and in advertising and promotional materials without compensation or permission.

Photo Requirements:

All photos must be uploaded electronically through the contest photo website. We cannot accept hard copies.
Photos must be submitted in JPEG, JPG, or PNG format.
Photo size should be of good quality and HIGH RESOLUTION - at least a minimum of 1500 x 1200 dpi in order to minimize photo distortion when used in a calendar. PHOTOS MUST BE CLEAR AND IN FOCUS. PHOTOS THAT ARE VERY DISTORTED/GRAINY WHEN ENLARGED WILL NOT BE PLACED IN THE CALENDAR.
We ask that you EDIT YOUR OWN PHOTOS prior to submitting them (in order to edit out background "noise" or enhance color, sharpness, etc.) to minimize the amount of time we have to spend doing so.
Photo entries must include:
1. Your pet's name
2. Your name and address (your address will not be displayed publicly; only city and state)
3. Your email address
4. An introduction telling us a little something about your pet. If your pet is a rescue animal, we encourage you to share your rescue story (a small paragraph will suffice).

Fees & Voting:

There is no fee to enter the contest, although a donation in the amount of your choice is strongly encouraged.
Each vote costs $1.00. If you purchase more than one vote at a time, you may place all votes on one photo or multiple photos.
