Rules

Photos of companion dogs, cats, tiny paws (rabbit and pocket pets) and birds are accepted.
Photos may contain more than one pet.
Photos must only contain domestic pets (no people, reptiles or wildlife).
No electronic, shock or prong collars can appear in photos.
Photos deemed offensive, indecent or obscene to the PEIHS will be removed from the contest.
Entries must be submitted by the owner of the pet, or with permission of the owner. If the photo was taken by someone other than the owner, permission must be granted from the person who owns the photo. It is the responsibility of the person submitting the photo to make sure that permissions are in place.
To enter the contest, you must register using your personal email address and a password of your choice.
Each $1 donation counts as a vote for that photo and donations are non-refundable.
If you still have votes in your bank left to vote when the contest ends – any votes left in the bank will go to the shelter.
To ensure that we are able to use your photo for publication, please make sure that you submit a digital photo only with a file size of 2 MB or higher. (Regular photos developed from film and scanned generally will not result in a high enough quality to print and include in the calendar).
Since we can't guarantee on which month each winning photo will appear, it's usually a good idea to avoid photos with holiday themes. We like to allow our winners to choose the month of their preference based on rank....so it is entirely possible that a furry "Santa Claws" may end up gracing June instead of December.
PEIHS takes no responsibility for typographical errors in this contest and will fix errors as needed/alerted without notification to registrants.
