The PERFECT PET OF PORTAGE PHOTO CONTEST is open to any pet owner who lives or works in Portage County and who would like to enter their pet to compete for the coveted title of "Perfect Pet of Portage" for 2022.

There will be three categories to enter your pet: Dogs, Cats, and Other. The other category can include ANYTHING! Will the perfect pet of Portage be a dog? A cat? A goat? Who knows!

Submit a photo of your pet and provide a short description (100 words maximum) of why your pet is the most perfect pet. Photos should be digital and sharp enough to look good on the internet. No photos of people, just your amazing pet. Feel free to dress your pet in a costume or use a creative back drop to help your pet stand out..

There is a $10 fee to post your pet, but you automatically receive 10 votes when you enter. If you have multiple pets that you'd like to enter, you will need to take separate photos of each and post them separately. The $10 posting fee applies for each pet you enter.

Pet owners are encouraged to have their friends, relatives, and co-workers go to the contest website and vote for their pet.

Votes cost $1.00 per vote with no maximum on how many votes a person can buy. For example, you can give 100 votes to your favorite pet by donating $100 in a single transaction via the website and come back to the site as many times as you want and donate votes as often as you would like.

Pet owners themselves will be able to buy as many votes as they would like too.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will be administered by the Portage Park District Foundation and the net proceeds will be awarded equally to the Madonio Animal Trust and the Portage Park District Foundation for the purposes of animal welfare and public trail development.
