The “PetPALS Beautiful Pet” contest (“Contest”) will consist of a single (1) category, and begins at 12:00 a.m., Eastern Time (“ET”) on May XX, 2020 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on June 15, 2020 (“Contest Period”). The Contest is sponsored by PetPALS of Southern New Jersey, Inc., PO Box 228, Grenloch, NJ 08032-0228 (the “Sponsor”). Each person who enters a Submission (as defined below) shall be considered a participating Entrant, which constitutes Entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these rules (“Official Rules”).
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Entrants may enter the Contest by visiting the Contest website (www.gogophotocontest.com/petpalssnj) and following the directions provided to complete the entry information and submit. Photo submissions (the “Submissions”) are accepted during the Submission and Voting Period (as defined below) only.
Each Submission must adhere to the guidelines herein (“Submission Guidelines”) and represent a pet that is a dog, cat or other domesticated animal, and be submitted in the following format: (i) only of the pet(s), (ii) not including people in any form, including holding the pet or in a background image with the pet; (ii) image types of jpg and/or jpeg, of at least 300 dpi. A Submission will be considered ineligible if, at the sole discretion of the Sponsor, they do not clearly follow the applicable Submission Guidelines as outlined in these Official Rules or if they contain language or images that are in any way threatening, abusive, offensive, defamatory, invasive of another’s privacy, in breach of confidence, embarrassing to any person, or likely to deceive any person, hateful, blasphemous, pornographic, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable or which constitutes or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offense or otherwise contrary to any law or appear contrary to the spirit of the Contest.
Entrant also warrants and represents that he or she consents to the Submission and use of the Submission in the Contest, and to the Sponsor using the Submission and posting the Submission on their Internet sites in connection with the Contest. Submission must be the original work of the Entrant who submitted, created or uploaded it and that Entrant guarantees that he or she is the author and copyright holder of the Submission. Sponsor will not assist any Entrant with the development or production of a Submission. By entering a Submission, each Entrant represents and warrants that the Submission (i) does not infringe on any other person’s or entity’s rights; and (ii) has not been submitted previously in a contest of any kind. Submission must not contain any unauthorized third-party owned material such as, but not limited to, trademarks, logos, music, depictions of actors and the like. Additionally, Entrant represents and warrants that he or she will not have and will not acquire any trademark rights, copyrights, or any other rights in or to Sponsor’s trademarks, trade names, logos or other intellectual property. Sponsor specifically reserves all its rights to protect its intellectual property against any infringement or other illegal or improper use.
By participating in the Contest and/or accepting a Prize (as defined below), where permitted by law, recipient grants to the Sponsor its parent, subsidiaries and related companies, and those acting pursuant to the authority of the Sponsor (which grant will be confirmed in writing upon Sponsor’s request), the right to print, publish, broadcast and use worldwide IN ALL MEDIA without limitation at any time the recipient’s full name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness and/or biographical information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without further payment or additional consideration, and without review, approval or notification. IN NO EVENT WILL SPONSOR, THEIR RESPECTIVE PARENTS, AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, DEALERS, DISTRIBUTORS, SUPPLIERS, PRIZE PROVIDER AND THEIR RESPECTIVE DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES) ARISING OUT OF PARTICPATION IN THIS CONTEST OR THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF THE PRIZES. By participating, Entrants release and agree to hold harmless the Sponsor, their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, dealers, distributors, suppliers, Prize provider and their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, death or losses or damages to persons or property AS WELL AS CLAIMS/ACTIONS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION, AND/OR INVASION OF PRIVACY that may arise from participating in this Contest or its related activities or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of, or any harm resulting from the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the Prize(s). Winner(s) acknowledge that Sponsor have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the Prize.
VOTING
Each $1 donation counts as 1 vote (a “Vote”). Sponsor encourage Entrants to share the Contest website page link with family and friends through email and social media encouraging them to Vote for the Entrant’s Submission. All donations for Votes are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Submissions and donations must be made via the Contest website. Donations for this online Contest that are submitted via other means (snail mail, in-person or main website donation page) will be accepted as donations but not applied toward the Contest and not counted as a Vote.
TIMING
The Contest Period consists of a Submission and voting period (the “Submission & Voting Period”) and a judging period (the “Judging Period”) as set forth in the chart below. All times are Eastern Time.

WINNER DETERMINATION & JUDGING PERIOD
At the end of the Submission & Voting Period, the top twenty (20) photo Submissions with the highest number of votes will become a “Finalist” and be included in the Judging Period wherein a panel of judges will review all Finalists and determine the sixteen (16) winners (“Winners”). Sponsor will utilize the following judging criteria for determining all the winners: public appeal (total Votes earned): 50%, creativity and originality: 30%, quality of photo: 20%. In the case of a tie, the score for creativity and originality will determine the Winner in each case.
THE PRIZE
Winners will each receive a 2021 calendar and free entrance to the Sponsor’s Lucky Paws Pet Adoption and Arts Fair (the “Fair”) if and when held, tentatively scheduled for March 2021 (the “Grand Prize”). Finalists who are not Winners will receive free entrance to the Fair (“Second Prize”). Both the Grand Prize and Second Prize are collectively referred to in these Official Rules as a “Prize”.
INTERNET LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
If for any reason this Contest is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest in whole or in part, at any time, without notice and award the Prizes using all non-suspect eligible entries received. No responsibility is assumed for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, or for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in the Contest or downloading any materials in the Contest. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE RELATED TO THIS CONTEST OR TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON (S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a Winner based on an e-mail address, the winning Submission will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of Submission. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
PetPALS reserves the right to cancel or terminate the contest as it deems appropriate, and not award any prize, if circumstances reasonably require same.
