Photo Guidelines

Photo submissions must be of owned, domestic dogs and cats. Your pet does not have to be adopted from Pets Alive Niagara to enter the Top Dog and Top Cat categories.
Everyone can participate but must be able to travel to Niagara to collect/redeem prize in person.
Pets that have been adopted from Pets Alive Niagara can enter the Alum category.
Photos should be in focus and of high quality, in either .jpg or .png format.
Photos must not be altered, other than minor adjustments to contrast, brightness, etc.
Photos must contain only pets – no humans.

Photo Submissions

You can submit photos of your dog or cat, no other animals can be entered.
You may submit as many entries as you like, but they must be of different pets.
Only 1 pet allowed per submission and/or photo. For additional pets, please make separate submissions.
Any photograph that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, obscene, etc., as determined by Pets Alive Niagara, will be removed from the contest with no refunds.
Once entered, photos become the property of Pets Alive Niagara and may be used for print and digital marketing purposes, including social media.
The submission period begins at 10:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Friday, April 8, 2022 and ends at 6:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Monday, May 30, 2022.
The voting period begins at 10:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Friday, April 8, 2022 and ends at 6:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Monday, May 30, 2022.

Contest & Voting Fees

Each submission is a $10 donation
Every $1 donation counts as one vote.
Votes are unlimited.
All donations from voting are non-refundable.
Entries and donations MUST be made via the online contest page.
There will be 9 winners- 3 Top vote-getter in each category (Dog, Cat and Pets Alive Niagara Alum)
The 3 winners with the highest number of votes in each category will receive a prize!
If there is a tie in votes for any of the top 9 spots, the tie breaker will be determined by the individual who submitted their entry first and this will be displayed accordingly on the home page under the Leader board. The pets who are displayed as the top 3 of each category on the home page under the leader board will be the final winners.
