How to Enter:

• Submit your pet’s photo. Photos must be in horizontal (landscape) format and high resolution (1280 pixels wide and at least 1 megabyte in file size).  The photo you submit will be used in the calendar if your pet is a winner.  If your photo does not meet the requirements, your entry will not be accepted, and you will be asked to submit a new photo.  
• The entry fee is $30 per entry, and you may enter as many times as you like.  The categories are dog, cat and other animal (bunny, bird, turtle, etc.)
• The top 5 entries for the dog and cat categories and the top 2 entries for the "other animal" category will be featured as Pet of the Month in the 2026 calendar. Winners will randomly be assigned a month and are unable to request specific months. 
• All contest entry photos will appear in a special section of the calendar.

• Photo submissions and votes will be accepted from June 1 to June 30, 2025; voting ends at 4:59:59 PM HST on June 30th. 
• Photo Guidelines:
• No humans - just pets, please!
• Photos may contain more than one pet, however, only one prize package will be awarded to winners.
• All pets should be legal animals in the State of Hawaiʻi;
• Your pet does not have to be a Hawaiian Humane Society alum to enter.

• Voting
  • Encourage your friends and family to vote for your pet! For just $1 per vote, they can help make your pet a star while making a tax-deductible donation to Hawaiian Humane Society. You can also vote for your own pet!
  • All votes must be cast online via our Pets in Paradise Calendar Contest website. Use the “share” button on your pet’s public profile to share your entry through Facebook, Instagram, and other social media sites. You can also email the link to family and friends.

NEW! Reserve-a-Day Option:

Want to honor your pet’s birthday/"gotcha" day?  Perhaps a special wedding anniversary is coming up or another celebratory occasion! You can now reserve a specific calendar day for only $100! The date will be marked with a photo (resolution rules apply) and custom caption printed on the date of your choice in the 2026 calendar.

• Only one occasion per date.
• There will only be 4 days available to reserve per month.
• The reservation fee is separate from contest entries and does not impact voting.

The Hawaiian Humane Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Each donation supports over 30 programs the Hawaiian Humane Society provides for the community and its animals. All donations are nonrefundable. Please save the transaction email for your tax records.

Warranties and Grants of Rights in Connection with the Contest:
When you enter the Pets in Paradise™ Calendar Contest, you warrant that the photograph is original, you are the sole owner and copyright holder of the photograph, and you have not granted exclusive rights of the photograph to any other person or entity. With regard to any image or content submitted, you agree to grant the Hawaiian Humane Society the right and permission to use, modify, adapt, reproduce, publish, and distribute the photograph. Once entered, photos become the property of the Hawaiian Humane Society to be used for print and marketing purposes. Any inappropriate images submitted will be removed immediately with no opportunity for a refund.
