Pets N Vets

Pets N Vets, in partnership with Denise Duriga Photography, is happy to announce its pet calendar for 2025. Money raised from this fundraiser will benefit the Pets N Vets training program costs and future purchase of a permanent training facility.

Winners of the pet photo contest will be featured in the 2025 calendar.

We encourage you to submit your favorite photo of your pets and ask your family and friends to vote for them. Please review the Contest Rules carefully for submission guidelines, entry fees and voting; those that do not follow these submission rules are not eligible to win. 

Grand Prize:
  • The winners of the photo contest are determined by the top 12 entrants that get the most votes.
  • The top winner will win the coveted cover photo for the 2025 calendar and a pet of the month spot! Winners placing 2nd - 12th will have their pet featured as a pet of the month. 
  • The top 12 vote earners will have their pet professionally photographed by Denise Duriga Photography for the 2025 calendar.

Reserve a Square in the Calendar for Your Pet:
  • You can also honor your pet or celebrate a gotcha-day or birthday by reserving an empty grid space within one of the calendar months for their photo. 
  • Please choose an appropriate photo that can be cropped in a square format.
  • Each month has a limited number of squares in each grid and will be filled on a first come, first served basis; don't delay!

Prizes
Grand Prizes:
  • The winners of the photo contest are determined by the top 12 entrants that receive the most votes. 
  • The top winner wins a pet of the month feature and the coveted cover photo for the 2025 calendar! 2nd - 12th place winners will have their pet featured as a pet of the month.
  • The top 12 vote earners will have their pet professionally photographed by Denise Duriga Photography for the 2025 calendar. *
  • All winners will have the opportunity to purchase products and images following their session, if desired. 
  • Calendars are available to the public as separate purchases. They will be available to purchase no later than September 2024 from the photographer's website.
  • In the event of a tie at the conclusion of the contest, the tie is broken based on the order of the leaderboard. When a participant has the same number of votes as another, the systems places the participant in order they initially entered the competition. Thus the participant who entered the competition first is placed in front of the other participant with the same number of votes. 

*If your pet is one of the 12 to be photographed for the calendar, you must be able to bring your pet to Denise Duriga Photography at a pre-selected location in Northwest Indiana area for a professional on location photo session. The sessions will take place in the early evening hours on May 14th, May 21st, May 28th or June 4th. Only four sessions are available on each date and availability of these appointments are first come first served. In case of inclement weather, a new date will be selected. If you are unable to commit to a photo session during those times or find yourself unable to travel to these pre-selected locations, you forfeit your winning spot and the next top vote earner will take your pet's spot in the calendar, no exceptions.

Weekly Mini-Contest Prizes:

During mini-contest weeks, the one pet who receives the highest number of new votes for a particular week will win a mini-contest prize from one of the participating businesses. In the event of a tie for that week's most votes or if there are no new votes for that week, a random computerized drawing will be held for all eligible pets. Participants can only win one mini-contest prize.  Mini-contests announcements are made on social media.

Rules
Entries:
  • Each entry is a $5 donation.
  • Limit of one pet per photo entry. People are not allowed in photos, only your pet (Dog or Cat only). Photos that do not follow these rules will not be eligible to win with no opportunity for a refund.
  • All photos must be uploaded; we cannot accept printed photos. We cannot accept any copyrighted or professional photos.
  • The Submissions Period starts at 8:00:00 AM (Central Time) on Monday, March 4, 2024 and ends at 9:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Friday, March 29, 2024.
  • Contest entry fees are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
  • Any photograph that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, or obscene, as determined by Denise Duriga Photography in its sole discretion, will be removed from the contest with no opportunity for a refund.
  • Posting more than one photo of your pet does not increase the chances of winning. The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 12 entries that receive the most votes. The same pet can only win once. Attempts to win two spots in the calendar by the same pet will not be permitted.

Voting:
  • Each $1 counts as one (1) vote. Minimum of five (5).
  • All donations from voting are non-refundable. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
  • Contest votes are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
  • All winners will be determined by electronic vote tabulations under the supervision of GoGo Photo Contests whose decisions are final and binding.
  • The Voting Period starts at 8:00:00 AM (Central Time) on Monday, March 4, 2024 and ends at 9:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Friday, March 29, 2024. 

Calendar Photo Session:

The top 12 vote earners will win a 20-minute professional, on-location, photo session by Denise Duriga Photography. Sessions are held in the early evening at a pre-selected location in Northwest Indiana. Winners can choose from the following dates for their photo session: May 14th, May 21st, May 28th or June 4th. Only 4 sessions are available on each date and availability of these appointments are first come first served. In case of inclement weather, a new date will be selected. 

  • If you are unable to commit to a photo session during those times or find yourself unable to travel to these pre-selected locations, you forfeit your winning and the next top vote earner will take your pet's spot in the calendar, no exceptions.
  • The top vote recipient will win the coveted cover photo for the 2025 calendar and a pet of the month spot. The next 11 recipients with the most votes are eligible to have their pet featured as a pet of the month.
  • The photographer, Denise Duriga Photography will choose the best image of the pets to be used in the calendar as well as which month that image will appear.
  • In the event of a tie at the conclusion of the contest, the tie is broken based on the order of the leaderboard. When a participant has the same number of votes as another, the systems places the participant in order they initially entered the competition. Thus the participant who entered the competition first is placed in front of the other participant with the same number of votes.

Weekly Mini-Contests:
  • The pet receiving the highest number of new votes each week over the course of the contest will win a mini-contest prize from one of the participating businesses. Specific dates for the contests will be posted on social media. The voting opens at 8 a.m. CST and ends at 9 p.m. CST during the dates listed for the mini-contests. Winners are announced the following day on social media at 9 a.m. CST. 
  • Each pet may only win a weekly mini contest once.
  • In the event of a tie, a random computerized draw will be held between the highest vote getters of the week to determine that week's winner.
  • If there are no new votes for that week, a random computerized draw will be held for all eligible pets.
  • Certain individual business restrictions and limitations may apply and may vary by business. Denise Duriga Photography is not responsible for these restrictions and eligibility requirements as determined by each business.
     
The Fine Print:
  • By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all the rights to your entry materials. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you. No professional photos are permitted.
  • Calendars will be available for purchase to the public starting no later than September of 2024. The link to purchase will be available on the photographer's website. 
  • By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Dunes Dog Training Club/Pets N Vets and Denise Duriga Photography and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.
  • Denise Duriga Photography will have the final say in winning entries. Should an entry receive votes that places it among the top 12 entries and the person in charge of that entry corresponds with or speaks to the photographer or Dunes Dog Training Club/Pets N Vets and their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers, or agents in a manner which is rude, condescending, or aggressive, the entry’s votes will be overruled and that entry will be withdrawn from the contest, disqualified, and removed with no opportunity for a refund. The next highest vote earner will be chosen by Denise Duriga Photography in its place.
