Hailing from Split Lake, MB, Honey (formerly Honeycrisp) came into our lives in the Summer of 2024. She had recently weaned both her own litter of puppies and another that she had adopted at WHS, and was freshly recovering from surgery to remove her right eye. My partner saw her on the Humane Society's page and needed to meet her. She came home with us that day.

After a month or so of careful introductions, Honey and Mitzi (our very small cat) were thick as thieves. We think Honey thought she was a weird puppy, since the cobbing began immediately.

Now fully adjusted to her soft little life in our apartment, she whines at us if we dare to take up both sides of the couch and begrudgingly grooms our cat when she asks.
