Meet Maple 🍁....Maple is just over 9 1/2 years old, and is a mixed breed pup whom we adopted through Earthdog Terrior Rescue.
She has characteristics of Dutch Shepherd and Grey Hound, and her brindle makes her quite unique looking and gets her alot of attention.
She came into our home and hearts approximately 9 years ago, and though somewhat shy and nervous at first, began warming up to her 'brother from another Mother' (who also was adopted through Earthdog), KNOX, to us and to those new to her world. She is such a sweetheart when she gets comfortable and gets to know you.
Maple has a high prey drive and loves to chase the rabbits and attempts to chase the squirrels.
Its a good thing we have a tall fence as Maple 🍁 has a tendency to run and launch herself at the fence as she chases or interacts with something on the other side, and gets her head and chest well above the fence.
Recently Maple 🍁 lost her 'brother' KNOX and has been adjusting to being the only pup in the home...it has been a slow process, as KNOX was such a strong personality in the house, but Maple is starting to settle in.
Maple 🍁 will celebrate her 10th Birthday in late September and we are hoping she keeps her youthful attitude, sweetness and innocence for years to come.
