Your pet's story or bio
Lucy is a 3 year old Bernese Mountain Dog who came into our lives on the coldest weekend of February 2023, and no one has loved a New Hampshire winter more than she has. With her thick coat and excitement for even the smallest snowflake, she proudly considers herself a 95-pound lap dog and a full-time ambassador of joy.

She’s become the neighborhood’s unofficial greeter. Most people know Lucy before they know us! Every walk is a meet-and-greet, complete with her signature smile, wagging tail, and happy hops. Her only “flaw” is trying to hug everyone she meets, which can be a bit ambitious given her size.

At home, Lucy starts each morning with her dramatic (and endearing) Bernese “scream-yawns” and insists on cheese-topped meals. When she’s not charming everyone, she’s happiest on the trails, soaking in the outdoors she clearly believes were made just for her.

Why are you entering your pet?
Lucy already has quite the fan base among our friends, family, and neighbors, and she would love nothing more than to turn that enthusiasm into support for the SPCA. If there’s one thing Lucy does best, it’s bringing smiles to people’s faces, and this feels like the perfect way to spread that joy a little further while supporting a great cause.

Plus, it just feels right. Lucy’s favorite outings are to local breweries, where everyone wins: her humans get to enjoy New Hampshire beer, and Lucy gets to people-watch, make new friends, and collect as many pets as possible. Being featured on a beer can would truly be her dream come true (and probably make her even more recognizable than she already thinks she is).
