PMHSCV 2023 Calendar Photo Contest Rules

Beginning 12:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Monday, August 1, 2022 participants will be able to upload a digital photo of their pet (dog, cat, or small animal) and will have an opportunity to share a short story about their furry friend. The story is important, as voters will cast ballots for stories they connect with, not only the pet's photo. Make sure to tell voters what makes your pet the greatest or share their adoption story! The pet does not have to be a PMHSCV alumni.

Please make sure submissions are high-quality digital photos of your pet! While the top vote-getters will receive a professional photo shoot with Sit.Stay.Smile., PMHSCV may also choose to use the submission photos in the calendar. Participants are welcome to submit more than one pet to the contest, but may not enter the same pet multiple times. Please note that posting multiple photos of your pet will not increase the chances of winning. The same pet can only win one spot in the 2023 calendar.

Winners will be decided by the voters! The top 12 submissions that get the most votes will win a professional photo shoot and be featured on one of the months of the 2023 PMHSCV Calendar!

All submissions and votes must be entered to the contest site prior to 11:59:59 PM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.

• There is a $20.00 entry fee for each photo submission
• Entry into the contest does not guarantee inclusion in the calendar. Only the top 12 vote-getters will be featured on a month of the calendar
• Other pets (besides the entrant) may be included in the submitted photo, but no humans
• Multiple pets may be pictured in one submission, if being entered as a team
• All photos must be appropriate and inoffensive. Any photos deemed to contain offensive material will be removed without refund of entry fee
• All pets must be depicted in an appropriate, humane, and dignified manner
• If a photo is submitted in memoriam of a pet, please take extra care to ensure the photo is high-resolution so it can be enlarged and retain its quality, as the pet will unable to attend a professional photo shoot
• All photos must be uploaded to the contest URL
• No physical, in-person entries or votes will be allowed. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page
• PMHSCV chooses the months in which winners will be featured. Entrant cannot request a specific month
• All submitted photos are subject to review and approval by PMHSCV. PMHSCV reserves all rights to remove a photo from the contest or refuse publication of any photo entered
• PMHSCV reserves rights to all contest submission photos, and may use the photos on social media or for other print and marketing purposes
• All donations from photo entries and votes will go directly to the animals of PMHSCV and are non-­refundable

  • A spot as the featured pet for one of the months in the 2023 PMHSCV Calendar,
  • Professional photo shoot for their pet with Sit.Stay.Smile.
  • One 8x10 photo from the shoot
  • One print copy of the finished calendar

  • $1,000+ raised: one print calendar, PMHSCV windbreaker, PMHSCV reusable tote, & PMHSCV t-shirt

  • $250 raised: one print calendar & PMHSCV t-shirt
  • $100 raised: one print calendar

Prize winners will be contacted for sizing information for apparel. Prizes will be distributed in November.
