I volunteer with Polka Dogz at the shelter and as a foster home.
In 2024, a malnourished Frenchie came in with a horrible skin condition and hard crusty scales on her legs. She looked just miserable and uncomfortable, so I gave her a medicated bath.
I showed my husband a photo of this poor creature and he said, "We need to foster her... bring her home!"
A few days later, Gigi came to stay with us and our brood of dogs. After many medicated baths and a few trips to the vet, this is what she blossomed into. Two months later, she officially became a member of our family.
Rescue is wonderful!
