Rules

This contest is open to anyone.
Photos must be taken at the Oregon Zoo.
Photos must be taken from areas accessible to the public.
Photos may be recent or from the distant past, but photos must be submitted by the photographer/owner of the photo.
We are primarily looking for photos of zoo animals, but we also enjoy photos of you enjoying the zoo.
Photos that include other members of the public, taken without their permission, may not be accepted.
Digital photos only.
Photos submitted by zoo staff or volunteers must be taken while "off the clock".
Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online gallery and will be open to voting by the public.
We cannot accept copyrighted professional photos or any photos that have been digitally manipulated or altered other than basic cropping and color adjustment.
Once entered, photos become the property of the Portland Chapter of AAZK and may be used for online, print, and marketing purposes.
We reserve the right to decline publication of any photograph for any reason.
Entry into the photo contest does not constitute zoo admission.
All required fees for contest entry and voting are donations to the Portland chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers and Bowling for Rhinos, and are tax-deductible as permitted by law.
Donations are non-refundable and fully tax-deductible as permitted by law.
By participating in this contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Portland AAZK, the Oregon Zoo and each of their officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the contest or receipt or use of any prize.
By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you.
We encourage you to email the contest link to family and friends and encourage them to vote for your entry. Voters can vote as often as they like throughout the contest.
Persons may submit as many votes for as many photos as they wish.
Winners will be notified within two weeks after voting concludes.
