In July of 2014, my fiance and I went to Brooklyn to visit his family. As soon as I walked over to the gate leading to the backyard, five small kittens ran to my feet. Brooklyn immediately caught my eye as she looked different from her siblings. I knew from the moment, that I wouldn't be leaving without taking a kitten home.

As I was outside one night sitting in the garage, I heard a small meow coming from outside in the rain. It was Brooklyn who couldn't find her family. I quickly picked her up, wrapped her in a blanket, and held her for two hours; it was then that I fell in love with her and knew I had to have her. She has brought so much joy to my life and she is truly the sweetest cat.
