We adopted Linus from the Potter League at 10 weeks old. I wanted one that was all grey but this guy crawled into my last and his name tag said Murphy Brown and that sealed the deal. At the time we had a perfect Chocolate Lab already named Murphy Brown. They bonded immediately, I swear Murphy thought the kitten was hers. She bathed him constantly and in return he cleaned her ears. We lost Murphy in 2021 in the midst of the pandemic. Linus misses her terribly and would Meow so loud calling her that we started kidding that he was a Moutain Lion. Turns out he is completely deaf. I always wonder if Murphy knew and compensated for him and if that was why was we didn’t realize until she was gone.
Linus is a 9 lb love bug who still looks like a kitten. He has thyroid meds he takes twice a day and will awake from a deep sleep at precisely 4pm every day to meow loudly until I put his drops in. I wouldn’t change a thing!
