Pepper was a Pomeranian-mix who spent his early life navigating years of neglect and heartbreak. He was rescued when he was 7-years-old by the love of his life, Mary, who saw through Pepper's tough exterior and unpleasant disposition that had served him well in his years of living in survival mode. It was love at first sniff. In Mary's loving arms, the grouchy, dental-nightmare, rescue dog found a new name – Pepper - and an unconditional love that carried him through the last 5 years of his life, including a battle with diabetes and blindness.

With Mary, he was safe and loved for exactly who he was, just like we'd all like to be. He became the inspiration for Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary, which opened in 2019. Pepper, as the inspiration for Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary, Pepper would have wanted to help pay it forward this holiday season. Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary will be having a calendar available for sale, and 100% of proceeds will go directly to our sanctuary. But, because Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary is such an incredible place with lots of really special doggos, we want to give YOU a chance to be in OUR calendar!

Pepper will make a cameo in the calendar, but otherwise we encourage you to fill our beautiful calendar with your very own senior or medically complicated doggos! Nominate your pet for the calendar, get your friends and family to vote,the doggos with the most votes will get to be in Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary calendar!

The top 12 photos that receive the most votes will be featured in the 2023 Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary calendar. To enter, submit a photo of your pet into the competition (free), and the twelve pets with the most votes ($1 per vote) win – the #1 vote-getter will get the COVER! Your pet may be any size, species, or breed. Pets may also have passed away, and photos submitted in memoriam. Pets will have their bio/history included in the calendar, along with any social media handles that are applicable, if any.


The 1st place winner will not only have their pet featured on the cover of the calendar, but will also be featured on a month inside the calendar!


Any voters who donate over $150 in total votes will get 3 free calendars and free shipping. Calendars will ship to the address listed on the payment receipt.


Peppers will be randomly giving away surPRIZEs throughout the contest. They will have no forewarning or advanced notice, and will NOT be reserved only for the top vote earners. Peppers loves everyone the same, so even if your pet doesn't have any votes, YOU will be eligible to win some Peppers love.
